    LX May 2006 LXOM: fatchance

    Written by: fatchance

First I would like to thank everyone on this forum. This is truly an honor to be recognized by fellow members and friends.

Where do I begin? When I bought this car I never imagined it would have changed my life like it has. I had been looking at cars for over 6 month before I ordered my 300c. I had test driven every car in my allotted budget at least twice, but never made a purchase. Then the 300 was released and the rest is history. I knew when I bought the car that I would do a few mods. I joined the forum in July of 04 and began to see what I could do. My initial plan was rims, tires, lower, tint, air intake, and exhaust. Well obviously that was just the beginning. Never did I ever imagine beginning the proud owner of such a car.

Early on I wanted to meet the other owners of the LX cars. So I began to work with other individuals to meet up. The first meet had 16 cars in February of 05, then in June we had 44 cars and in October we had just over a 100 cars attend. We did other events between these and every one of them just got better and better. As the events got bigger I partnered with HEMEEE to have the best possible meet and greets. We began to organize and structure the meets to be fun and easy for any member to attend. Our last major meet March 25 had over 280 cars in attendance and some very special guest. People think I’m crazy when I say “this is only the beginning”. What makes these events great are the people and the cars. Where else can you go and see every imaginable mod for your car first had and have great people around you. We will continue to do these events to bring the members together.

The car has also brought me to a career change. I have just partnered with to great guys, Alex and Brian to open MADE Autosports. We will be the authority on the LX platform. Alex and Brian have years of experience in the car scene and are very creative. We have pioneered and tested so many products for the LX that we have developed partnerships with manufactures for testing of new products. We will offer from simple to full custom show cars. What will separate MADE from the rest is the fact that we own and operate our own cars. Our involvement with the meet and greets and the members of the forums give us a better understanding of the market. We just don’t sell product or create show cars we live it everyday.

    Thanks again everyone.

Ralph: O.K. Jon, if you say so, but even with a bad azz car the hands on the hips are a no-no..

Jon: Dude, wait til our next meet, I have a mod that will knock everyones socks off. I just need to figure out a color. hmmmmmm Blue comes to mind.

Ralph: (To self : Blue????) Cool Jon

Congratulations again John (Jon? which is it?). We are all the better for the things you do. And even if you didn't do squat you'd still be a valuable member of the community and a good friend. MADE Autosports sounds like one hell of a neat adventure and I look forward to hearing a lot from it in the future.

And hey everybody, their first product (?) was on sale at the AZ M&G. A little nickel/dime thing that is *super* cool. FC if you become a supporting vendor ( ) I bet you could sell a pallet-load of the little things here.

    Thumbs up All Hail fatchance!!!

Matt: It's John... but to meee it's John-E-E-E!

Great write-up John-eee and congrats once again!
I remember how excited we were when, after the meet with 16 cars, you and I partnered up and the next one grew to 44... but we knew this was gonna be BIG when we couldn't count the cars anymore without a scorecard at the next one! It really IS "just the beginning" and we can dream as big as we want, but this is a great time to say, once again, thank you to our awesome 'Committee' and the generous volunteers and sponsors who have helped us pull it all together and make the dream a reality!

I have no doubt that your passion will assure your success in the new venture with MADE Autosports. Now, about my wheels...

    LOVE YA BUDDEEE!
