    March 2008: LXOM Trojan

    written by Trojan

Well I want to start with a big thank you to everyone here at LX Forums. I love it here. I never imagined Id be LXOM.
Im quite surprised. I had no idea back in March of 06 when I first signed up what I'd be in for.
It been a great experience I wouldn't have changed a thing.
My LX story begins in 06 when my daily driver F250 super duty got paid off.
Usually I would have traded it in for the latest/Greatest new truck. But the trucks a Diesel and it only had 55,000 miles on her. She looked great and I was like , I want a street car. So I had been eyeballing the 300's for awhile and started researching them. I couldn't touch a srt8 at the time in So Cal without the typical 10-20k mark up so I opted for a Black 300C with all the options.
I even got the warranty for 5yrs. . I told the wife I was gonna lower it and do rims and thats it. I wanna keep the luxury look in tacked. yeah right!
I took the car over to Mannie at 714 Motor sports and he did the Interior for me in Black Ostrich with a suede headliner and door panels. Then he threw some Eibach springs on it and got me a set of Zennettis. I was done. Then I found the forums. And within days I wanted Exhaust, CAI, KW's. I was going nuts. So Mannie got me a Borla Cat-back and KW's. Meanwhile back at the ranch my wife was really digging the car. And when the wife makes up her mind, nuff said. So now we had 2 300's. She got a Silver Steel one. Now all of a sudden I figured my wheels were to heavy and my brakes weren't cooling because of there design, I needed wheels, So I put the Eibachs, Wheels on my wifes car the rest is history. This is where my addiction began. Ive been thru alot now with the car and all of you. LX forums have been here for me and I thank you.
Ive Made a alot of good new friends from coast to coast and have truly enjoyed myself. The M&G's and the track days are something I will never forget. I hope to continue my obsession with my Challenger when it arrives in late April. I also want to thank everyone that voted for me and all the members here whom I've had the opportunity to meet. Ive included pictures of my car thru its transformation. I look forward to seeing everyone at Spring Fest.
