First I would like to thank everyone that voted for me and those who enjoy the work that I do. I started about 20 years ago doing body work and decided fabricating was a little more creative. So 15 years ago I got my start. My first major project was a 1996 Body Cadillac. They normally come in 4 doors and of course none are convertibles. So, my mission was to create the first 2 door convertible and make it look as factory as possible. After several months the mission was completed. After I introduced the first one quite a few more orders were taken. And this is where it all began.
What really inspired me was I wanted to design a car that to my knowledge had never been made. So taking a 4 door car and converting it to a two door was my first challenge. After looking at the way most shops did custom work they were leaving out many functions that made the car whole. Some would leave out windows, those who made convertible or should I say chop tops would leave out the functioning of the convertible tops. So I decided everything had to work like it would come straight from the factory.
How I became an LX’er was I became tired of doing all these Cadillac’s and decided it was time for a change. From the introduction of the Charger I knew this would be my next automobile. After taking a closer look I knew how I could make this my very own creation. I knew for one I wanted a much wider tire in the rear. So I got out my tools and decided to widen the rear. Before I got started I look at body kit first but none of them made to cars elegance appear the way I wanted it to be. So off to widening the rear end was the only way I would be satisfied. After a couple months it was now a mission behind me. I took all of my skills from the doing Cadillac’s and stepped into the modern world.
My last biggest challenge was preparing 3 wide body Challengers in less than 4 weeks. It was a task but with the help of some of the team we made it happen. One was a Black Challenger with 24’s in the front and 26’s in the rear for a buddy of mine Jorge of JW Wheels. The next Challenger was for Asanti Wheels and it was also a black one. The last one was a Hemi Orange Challenger done for Air Ride Suspensions.
My future project that I am currently working on is making a 2 door wide body Charger that I will be introducing very shortly.
Once again I would like to thank everyone again for voting for me and enjoying the work that I do. It is truly an honor to represent the LX community for the beginning of the 2009 year.
Thank you,
