So yeah….never thought I would be writing this and now I have to figure out what to say…..
I will start out with saying thanks to all those who voted for me and those that get calls from me asking questions all the time, I have about 80 forum member’s phone #s in my cell memory and try to bug you equally.
So yeah, most of you know me but I will give the intro for those who have not had the pleasure:
I wanted to be a stunt car driver when I was little and was lobbying to be the new Batman but I didn’t get the part, something about being too adorable.
I am barely a 70’s baby but you got to love the old school Dr. Pepper and my long hair.
I grew up around hot rods cause my dad restores ’67-’69 Camaros as a hobby but I originally was more influenced by my brother who builds these as a hobby.
My 1st car was a 1974 Powder Blue 4 Door Caddy but after High school I got this lovely beast that I still have today.
As some of you who saw Grinner’s SE Shindig video saw the Dodge Magnum had a serious influence on my life around September of 2004. I had come home from college to have a surgery to repair my knee that had recently been torn up and had kept me from commissioning into the United States Air Force after my 4 years of ROTC at Texas A&M University. I was in a sad depressed place in my life and have a Dodge Magnum sighting to thank along with my family and my girlfriend (now wife) to thank. As I stood in the parking lot of my work a brand new 2005 Dodge Magnum R/T from the nearby dealership pulled into the parking lot, idled around for a little bit then when tires burning out of the lot….I was hooked and I mean WOW!!! Right then and there I realized I needed to get my life back on track and get a real job so I could get me one of
”them Hemi’s” as my Chevy thru and thru brother would say.
So yeah, 6 months later I bought this beauty on Ebay, had 10,000 miles on her and I flew to Oklahoma City to get her and boy it was a fun ride home.
I joined the boards soon after in March of 2005…to let you know how old that is my link on my laptop still says DodgeMagnum.net as in pre Lxforums I believe.
After a year my R/T looked like this:
But sadly for my R/T I wanted to go in a new direction and got:
Which has turned into this as yall all know:
Went to SEMA 2006 as part of Dodge’s American Muscle Car Display:
And produced this, the 1st ever sub 12 second pass on motor alone….
None, and I mean none of this would have been possible without you, each and every one of you (yes even you Lee) have been a very important part of my life for the last almost 3 years…. but I also need to thank this lady right here:
Who is currently serving in Iraq and should be home next month to kick my butt into gear once again.
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart, I know I can be a pain sometimes but I mean well most of the time, I just like to be a trouble maker and keep things going.
Oh and Redfox is not for the Comedian….. the story is my Golf coach in High School was my History teach and we were reading about Thomas Jefferson who was nicknamed the Redfox by his fellows in Congress…my coach looked at me and said that was a good name for me and the next tournament gave me a Redfox golf club head cover (which I still have even though my knee prevents me from playing)…..and 0099 is for Wayne Gretzky cause he was my Hero when I was a kid.
