Well, now you guys have gone and done it. Because of you I now have to call a contractor in to widen the doors on my house. My head just won't fit through the doors anymore.
So, who am I?? I am a 38 year old man who feels like he has gone back to high school because of a car. The only difference is I now have enough money to work on the car to turn it INTO the dream car I wished for back in high school. I live in a suburb of Augusta, Georgia called Evans. The golfers out there will recognize Augusta as the home of the Masters Golf Tournament. No, I can't get you tickets, so don't ask. Heck, I live here and I can't get tickets. I work for Monsanto as a Unit Specialist. A Unit Specialist operates and maintains the equipment in the production facility. As far as a job goes, I find this one to be one of the best. One part of the day I may be working as an operator running the equipment then when something breaks or needs scheduled maintenance I may spend the rest of the day doing mechanical work or electrical work. Whatever is needed we are expected to be able to do it.
I joined DodgeMagnum.net the day I ordered my Magnum. June 19th, 2004. My original intent was just to find some information about these cars and learn as much as I could before my car came in. The information I found on this site was second to none and the people were the best. No attacks, no BS just good hard core car information. I found myself gaining enough knowledge to be able to share some information with other people. As I did, as corny as it may seem, I really started to feel good. In my own little way I had found my way of helping other people. The better I felt the more I found myself hanging out on the site waiting for people to post. Fortunately, the place where I work allows Internet access so I could help day or night depending on my schedule. Because I love helping people so much I average about 8 posts per day!
Mods I have done to my car:
1. Modified the exhaust.
2. Installed 360 Air Intakez Cold Air Intake
3. Replaced the speakers with Alpines.
4. Installed Beltronics 975R Radar Detector
5. Painted the engine cover
6. Sound proofed the back of the car to help with the additional noise FROM the exhaust mod.
7. NGK Iridium spark plugs.
8. Taylor 10.4 MM Spark Plug Wires.
Mods that are planned:
1. New hood (probably the Viper style hood)
2. Wider tires, something in the 255 range.
3. Better breaks with bigger rotors
4. Headers with high flow cats
5. Coilover suspension kit.
6. Sway bar FROM Eibach.
7. Either turbo or supercharger once someone figures out how to do it without killing the engine.
8. PCM mods as they become available.
9. Custom paint. I want to keep the car mostly Midnight Blue but add a look the makes the paint look like it is splitting and underneath there would be a snake skin in Viper red!!!
10. And anything else I can dream up for this car.
My goal is to have all of the mods done by the end of 2005. I probably won't do too much over the next 3-6 months as I save money for all of my toys.
Thanks again for making me LX of the month. Anytime and in any way that I can ask and I will do what I can to help you. I don't care if the question has been asked a hundred times and you didn't do a search to see if it had been asked before I will always try to answer the question like it was the first time it was asked. That is what a forum is supposed to be about.
