I’m honored.
I built my dream Magnum several times online before stopping by a local dealership last December to test drive a Black Pearl RT on 20’s. Part of me felt guilty as they drove it around for me. Like I wasn’t worthy of such a ride. The other half of me wanted to push the sales dude aside so I could take that bad boy out and stomp on it.
I’ve been a car lover all my life but like many, had to put my toys away when I got married and babies started blessing us with their presence. Staring at this car, I suddenly felt 18 again and 50 mods flashed before my eyes in an instant. Not that this car needed any. I thought it was grand, roof rack and all and I took it home almost feeling like a proud papa. My wife took note of my change in attitude, reporting a sudden “spring in my step”. I haven’t had time to notice that because when not working, my family and I are working on rides now. My bride liked my car so much, she wanted one as well. I didn’t think for a minute that I’d get away with blowing our nest egg on a play toy disguised as transportation and I was tickled that it was a Magnum she wanted rather than something twice as expensive and twice as ugly. Hers is Mineral Gray and she has her own plans for customization.
This site helps us both in fixing up our rides. It also helps instigate the common thread we share in working together and making things look cool. I think that’s why this site is addicting… you truly will miss something if ya don’t tune in. From recalls to wild hairs, this is a valuable tool for tips, sympathy, encouragement and inspiration.
With personality oozing from every post, I feel like I know many of you here. I’m lookin’ forward to shakin’ your hands at shows in the future…
Thanks for bein' cool.
