LXOY? Shoooooot.
There are better rides than mine and better people than me on LXforums.com. I think I’ve just posted the most pics. I demand a recount!
I’m truly thankful for the day I stumbled across dodgemagnum.net. I had no idea what it would evolve into. The year has gone by fast and there are a few highlights from this site I want to mention.
First, the thread I started about wrecking my car and getting everybody’s feedback meant a lot to me. It helped me. A good kick in the pants does a brutha good sometimes and I’m a better man because of it. Highhorseperformance.com sending me jack stands after I mentioned my car falling off a jack and almost on me proved what a straight up good guy he is. People like Josh are rare. Hammer sent me a gift in the mail but more touching, he put it in a box he made himself that had to have taken several hours to make. He wrote touching little messages that were not little at all over it and it sits in my office where I can see it when I’m on this forum. I gotta say it’s the first shrunken head I have ever received in the mail and I have a feeling it’s the first one Scott has ever mailed. I get a kick out of redinorange’s witty one-liners and he sent me a sticker that I put on Nan’s car. Butweet sent many of us a cool sticker for our mirrors out of the kindness of his heart and made sure to include me in the batch that went out. He already had one set aside for me when I requested one. I got to see a total stranger create a fund for another total stranger to help get him a new car in return for entertaining us on a daily basis. Done, that was freakin’ cool, dude. I had the privilege of editing the LX video and got to get to know many of you through the footage that you sent in. This was the funnest video I had created in years and is single-handedly responsible for pulling me out of burnout and inspiring me to create a TV show for and about people like all of you. I’ve benefited from tips and tricks offered on this site, have laughed and cried at posts and gotten to shake the hands of many great people here at meets and shows in the Midwest. At the first small meet we set up in St Louis through LXforums.com, Nancy and I met BLACKHEMIMAG and his charming bride. They have simply become part of our family. These two people are golden. There isn’t a thing in this world that I wouldn’t do for them and I know that goes both ways. A friendship like this can’t be described with words. Mark, you’re a blessing, man.
LXforums.com is much more than a hub of information for LX enthusiasts. It’s a meeting place for people of all walks of life to come together with one common interest, only to discover so many more. Your wisdom, insight, honesty, criticism and kudos are appreciated more than you know.
I thank you.
