    Warranty questions - almost over

I have a 2007 Dodge Charger R/T with about 30,000 miles. Which means my warranty will be over soon. So far the car has been good with no trips to dealership. But I do want to take it in before the warranty is over to make sure everything is good.

What should I do or ask them to do before the warranty is over?

I would just get under the car before you take it in and check for leaks like oil, power steering, trans, and diff and have them fix anything that is leaking even just the sligtest bit. I wish I had noticed my axle seal on the diff before mine ran out. It's got a slow leak and the seal needs to be replaced.

Before you take it to the dealer, take it to a good 4 wheel alignment shop. Have then thoroughly inspect all front and rear suspension components. If a good shop finds anything worn , they will tell you to get it fixed before first and not charge you. I took mine in to my dealer and they fixed it and did 4 wheel alignment 2 times in the first 100,000 miles free. My dealer is freaking incredible! You don't hear that too often.

If you have a sunroof, open it part way and look at the seam where the frame that holds the glass is, mine started to rust long before I moved from Cali, I just had it replaced last week under warranty. 1 more tank of gas and my warranty is done.

As previously mentioned check the passenger side diff seal for leaks. The only other thing I know look out for is the AC controls and headlight knob lights. If your headlight knob has a seperate button for fogs then give the unit a good hard tap in a couple of places and check for the lights to go out. Do the same for the ac controls around the left side of the unit. I had to have both of mine replaced just before the warranty ran out. If you haven't had the trans o ring leak fixed then check for that recall as well.
