Trunk split?

In my trunk, on the roof of it towards the inside, right under the rear deck and the 6x9's, there is a large crack in the material (the hard plastic material stuff) right down the center, anyone else had this problem? the crack spider veins into multiple cracks at the end. Is this gonna keep spreading and eventually crack all the way through? I'm about to put 2 12's in the trunk, wil this affect it and should I fix this? If I should, how should I fix it? Is this a major problem? I don't want my trunk falling apart...


Also, on the 12's, should I dynamat my trunk or will i be fine? I heard I need to put some shock absorber rings on the little hydraulic poles that open the trunk and that will solve a bit of the rattle, is this true?

Wether or not your putting speakers in the trunk, it's a brand new car, shouldn't have happened....take it back to the dealer and make 'em fix it.
