Transmission Problem?

My car wont go past 1st gear and the check engine light is on. The car only has about 25000 miles on it and it is a year old. Its an 06 dodge charger se. Never had transmission problems before.

sounds like "Limp" mode...

Can you turn the ignition on (don't start the car) on-off-on-off-on (on three times and leave it on) then watch the evic...if you have one... for the error codes?

Or can you take it to the dealership? For some reason it went into limp home mode.

i already got it takin to the dealership and they wont be able to look at it till monday. But i havent had any problems, so hopefully it just went into that mode.

i believe you can reset the computer by pulling a fuse. I believe it is either 11 or 17 but I am not sure...

damn i could have done that myself i wish i didnt call the tow truck and get my car towed to the dealership. But it wont get looked at till monday.

when i went into limp mode, it was because i pulled fuse 17! then i put the fuse back in and wham! all back to normal. lol

well i was driving from 7-11 after picking my friend up, and his car broke down. so hopefully i hit a bump and it knocked it loose. But thanx for all the input i might go to the dealership and check it out.
