Yesterday on the way home, I pull next to a dakota r/t 5.9, so natualy I take off and hard, I shift at 6700 or so and nothing happens check engine light comes on I let off right away when it didnt shift and just coast, then when I press the gas it just revs like its in neutral, so while its rolling I shift to neutral and back to drive, nothing, so I pulled over and turned it off waited 10 sec or so and started it and shifted it into drive no problem back to normal, except the check engine light on its
P 0700 any ideas why this would happen??

That's tranny limp mode. What happened is you exceeded the rev limiter before the shift. If you have a preditor, you need to raise the rev limit. These motors rev quickly, it's not uncommon for it to spool up faster then the PCM can tell and make the tranny shift. Also, it's very common if you've been driving around like a grandma and then get on it from a stop. The TCM learns your driving habits too and if you have not been beating on her, will take it's sweet time reacting and shifting.

Kinda nuts, I just reset the tcm before this happened, it was real close to 7k when I shifted, whats the highest I can shift it at??
When mine went into Limp Mode last year, it ended up being a bad valve body. It took the dealer 3 times to figure that out. It was doing it intermitantly when I got on it fairly hard from a stand still.

theres a tech tip on cleaning out the valve body. it will cause similar symptoms. fnkychkn has posted it before i know. it does work, dealers cant replace the valve body. the part is on restriction, and has to be authorized by tech support.
with all my mods my warranty is gone anyway, heads cam lifters and injectors.....
DTC P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction Yep sounds like you over reved it. I thought the hemi's reached max HP around 6000=6400?

P0700 is just a code saying there is a code in the TCM. Need a Starscan to get the code out of the TCm though.
