Hey guys,
I'm looking into buying aHemi LX, and am thinking about the Chargers. I like the classic looks of the 300, but also love the mean looks of the Charger, so I'm actually researching all of them -Magnum too.
Anyway, any advice anyone might have on buying a Hemi Charger would be appreciated.
What I really want to know here is the difference between the R/T package, and the "Road & Track" package.
I see Chargers advertised as R/T's. What EXACTLY comes in that package?
And I thought it was one i nthe same, but I saw elsewhere on this site a reference to a R/T with a Road and Track package. What's that?
And lastly, I really like the look of this Charger.
Cars for Sale: 2006 Dodge Charger R/T in Warwick, RI 02888: Sedan Details - 310924940 - AutoTrader.com
Does it look like a good deal, and what's the deal with the seats? The interior looks awesome on this one, are those optional seats, or standard with the R/T? They almost look like SRT8 seats, minus the logo.
Thanks for any info!!!
That is a R/T with R/T. There is the R/T interior packaged and the road and track package which gets better suspension, brakes exhaust and air intake. I will try to find the thread with the correct information

Awesome! You sir are the man!
Reading through the thread now.
So what do you think about that one, good find?
Thanks again!
There is More than you read. I got my R/T with Road & Track package and Track Pack.
For 2012 you get the SRT Seats, Paddle Shifters, Bigger Brakes, upgraded and adjustable suspension with Goodyear F1 Supercar tires. In the 8.4 U-connect there is a button under the controls tab that says SPORT, when you push it, a sport icon comes on in the EVIC panel. It automatically, (don't ask me how) stiffens the suspension, changes the transmission shift points and probably pressures as well. It enacts a rev limiter so you can't blow the engine at redline.
I'm telling you, it happens so fast, you can't watch the tach and shift before the rev limiter (fuel cutoff) kicks in. The engine stutters until you hit second, hang on, cause it BANGS second gear. I have an 07 Daytona, and my butt dyno says this 12 will tear the 07 a new gaping butthole. Call it an SRTjr. And all this with only 150 miles on her, we call her LYKRISH

2012 Charger (R2T2STP) R/T Road & Track w/Super Track Pack, we will call this one "PANTHUR"
Hey George Soros, will you do us all a favor and Die Soon, real soon.
at $37,815.00, more than a loaded R/T Max.
And I am missing two options, Adaptive Cruise and Drivers Convenience group.
I paid $34,021.85, I qualified for Preferred Pricing as an employee of AT&T, which is $500.00 over Chrysler / Dodge employee pricing.
This is the base R/T....you can tell by the rims, rear trunk chrome R/T badge, chrome front grill, and non-factory seats.
Sounds like a pretty impressive ride, Lime!
I was looking at the '11's at a dealer a few months back - gorgeous cars! I really like the interiors, between these and the new Grand Cherokee, Chrysler is really stepping up their game.
I wish I could afford a new one though.
I've been doing more research on the R&T - I really like the sound of that package. From what I gather it's a Daytona without the appearance items. I like that, I like to stay low key.
I just read on another site that said the '06's had the same chrome grille as the others, the body colored grille didn't come out until '07. Same thing with the 20" wheels. The 0'6's were supposed to have the standard wheels, just with black painted insides, which that one appears to have.
Anyone know if there's a certain digit in the VIN or an RPO code for R&T?
$22,000.00, most babied Daytona around. NEVER been thru an automatic car wash, hand washed every week. Mobil 1 since it's first oil change, 3K in aftermarket parts. 54K miles.
#108 of 1500 sublime green, the most popular of the Daytona colors. (I'm partial)
Every factory option except rear seat DVD player, stickered at $39,150.00, I am the original owner.
This car appears to have the Road n Track Pkg. Srt seats , black pocket wheels, smooth lid on the air box and you cant see it but a free flowing exhaust. I think they were rated 350 horse 390 tq.
its a nice ride I would jump on it!
Yeah, I think I want to go look at it this week. The more I look at the pics, the more I like it!
Just depends on what they'll give me for a trade in. I'd need to sell my Firebird, and that's gonna be a PITA with snow right around the corner. If they'll give me KBB "good" condition trade in I'll be happy with that, it'll save me the trouble of selling.
I saw this one myself this past weekend, it is in GREAT shape. Infact, if my Magnum wasnt already paid off and I have a Challenger payment and a little one on the way I would snatch it up myself. I am pretty sure that there is some wiggle room in the price. On a clean deal I would look to get it for $24,995.
