They also have reinforced front strut braces. I saw one at MomsR/T M&G. Also the officer that had it told me he can paddle shift even though the shifter is in the columm. The front seats are cloth and the rear bench was leather "like".?

That column shifter stink tho.. You have to pull in and up a little and then down, ratchet thunking...Could have been better designed.. feels like a halfassed dodge truck column shifter

at first glance and feel, i thought the same, but trust me, when it is being "used" it works fine and very fast. its out of the way of the coputer rack which is a needed thing.

the paddle shift it has attached to it is pretty much useless tho. in this application, they should extend the shifts automatically and just be done with it. all it is is a little button on the end to turn it on and then 2 more to up and down shift.

i just ordered the police wheels 2day and i was wondering did anyone have to change their lug nuts. because the people at the dealer ship said that i might have to get different ones. and its $32 from them for all 20.

I know theres also a oil cooler, possibly also a trans cooler and p/s cooler upgrade on the pursuit package, Meister is working on the parts list. My oil cooler is on order.

Speaking of police package Chargers, we have a few running around town here in Border Patrol trim (white w/green slash stripe & emblems) - we have a Border Patrol post here. The one I saw had dual exhaust, so I'm assuming it was a HEMI although there were no HEMI emblems. I'll try to get pics the next time I see one.

In the Michigan State Police testing they found that a good driver in a 3.5 could outrun a so-so driver with the hemi, if I remember the report correctly. This was not in a drag race, but over the road course.

There are no HEMI emblems on the police package. No engine cover either. A vinyl rear seat is optional. If it has dual exhaust then it's a V8.

Actually, the 3.5 police Charger has the same top speed as the p71 Crown Vic, 130 mph. So it will outrun many of the cars on the road.

and i know for a fact that the hemi is hands down faster than the CV...first hand experience lol (it's ok my buddy was the pursuing officer)

this is going to be an amazing upgrade for the police. but here in MD there are talks about them sticking with the CV b'c ford isn't going to discontinue them after all and they're apparently a lot cheaper...

yeah i saw 1 in md not too long ago i was like uh oh. Md has them now, lol looks like people will be in trouble on the road. Cuz you cant tell its a police car if you dont know any better.
