Maybe there is hidden symbolism here.
When a noted soldier died. Some funeral processions would lead a riderless white horse in front of the funeral train. I forget where this is the custom...
This was to symbolise the purity and nobility of a fallen hero

    And the dead shall walk

i remember when we were livin' in Indy, I was headin back to work from lunch. The light leaving our subdivision turned green and I hung a left onto the busy road. A dude ran the red light, rolled riiiight up on me with his lights on and he started blowin the horn. I thought 'man, what a douche' so I yelled out the window "man! what a douche!" Dude stayed on me so I finally gave him a lane. I noticed all the cars behind him had their lights on. Then I noticed all the cars in front of me did too. It was then I realized I had pulled out right smack dab in the middle of a funeral precession.
and called some morning guy a douche.

    i know
    i suck

No grinner you had the decency to feel bad and you didn't realize. That keeps you from sucking in my book.

    interesting.

last time i was in a funeral procession, there were about 20 police motorcycles running along with us, making sure nothing like that happened. when we approached the graveyard, they pulled ahead of us and lined their bikes up next to where the procession was turning in, and stood at attention next to them, very respectfully.

it made me want to not hate VA cops...

Thanks. I havent been able to find anything to say. I'm speechless. Usually we lose 1 to 2 officers a year. That's tough enough. 6 in 5 months is unheard of. Yet we still go out everyday and do the job. Why? Because we believe in what we do.

People can bash us all the time. Thats fine. Thats thier right; freedom of speech and opinion. But you're going to hear from me defending LEOs everywhere and defending the works and sacrifices of the fallen officers before me.

Sorry. I dont want to hijack the thread.
    PEACE OUT YO!!!
