    Performance ChiP?

So i was thinking about getting the performance chip, i have the 2.7L V6 (I know i was semi saddened by this as well, but it was an incredible deal). I was wondering if this will void the warranty on the car though? Anyone had any experience with this?

This is the only thing im really going to push for performance though, i dont know if im going to go much farther than this. Im going to just wait until i can get the Hemi, and pass this one down to the wifey. Any other imput on easier cheap performance ups would be nice though if anyone has any ideas =)

    Thanks again guys...

Not sure about the warranty, but all I've read about actual real-world results of "performance" chips have shown they are pretty worthless. Unfortunately, Diablo only makes a tuner for the 3.5 V6 so you're out of luck there, but doing a CAI and exhaust will yield you a bit and make the car more enjoyable to drive.

I don't know who makes a chip for the 2.7, I got both performance level Jet" chips for my 5.7 before superchips or diablo came out with the programmers and only got a slight bit of gain and worse mileage. you can go with a better exhaust don't do a dual or larger diameter pipe just a recomended kit like magnaflow or flowmaster etc... and get your selh an AIR HAMMER cai you'll get bunch more umpf from this set up than from the Jet Chips. No AirHammer for the 2.7, sorry guys.

Blastin Bobs and another intake (home brew even) will at least give it more enjoyment to drive.

save your money and stay away from the "Jet chips" no matter what deal you're getting, unless it's free or someone's paying you to have it. Save up for a programer. Yes more expensive but way more options and better performance.

99.9% chance it'll be cheaper to trade in, you have to swap A LOT.

The 2.7 is a fine "workhorse" motor. Unfortunately it has a lot of work to do hauling around a LX. It's not practical to put in a hemi today because of the complexities of the electronics, etc. I would try to enjoy the car for what it is and think about appearance mods like wheels and tires. Also handling upgrades, no reason that you can't make it corner like it's on rails. Save your pennies and give it to your wife, then buy a hemi.

Get hold of Mr.iNCREDIBLE, or go to the AIR HAMMER thread in the vendors section.

I think Jet Chips cost about as much as Superchips or Diablo programmers and the Jets don't do enough to make them worth that much.
