Has anyone swapped out or looked at the factory speakers? What ohm is each of the 6 Boston Acoustic speakers? I heard the tweeters were 2 ohm, the mids were 2 and the 6x9s were 2 ohm, all 2 ohm, am I right? Also, if this is the case how have people run them into 4 ohm stable headunits? Thanks!

Well since you have the car now, I guess you can get a multimeter and check it out for yourself.

Well there is no reason to hate me. I am just informing you what you can do since you have the car and you can take a multimeter and measure the rear 6x9's and see for yourself. Then you can check out the dash speaker since it is easy to remove that top panel. Not sure if you know how to remove a door panel but if you can, guess what. You can check that out also.

If they are all 2 ohms and you want to know how to wire them up to an Alpine stereo. I believe that is the radio that you said that you have or going to get. Then you should call Alpine and ask to speak to tech support and get there advice how to wire up your speakers to there radio.

Sure he COULD check it out himself, but if another LX Forum member has already done this, it's worth asking to avoid the extra work. Anyone here who has checked it out would gladly let him know, and allow him to save himself the work.

Well just to let you know that this person has been asking about the same question or questions for the past couple of months. He didn't even have the car at that time. He will start a new thread if know one answers him with a day. Then when you do give him an answer, he goes another route.

I was just informing him now that he has the car it would be easy for him to check it out for himself. The reason why know one can answer his questions is because it is just the wrong way of thinking. Why would you want a aftermarket radio that has the power output of 18 watts (RMS CEA RATING) pushing his stock speakers and have 2) 12" woofers with 1500 watts to it? Then say I want to make it sound clean! That is insane. The bass is going to be so boomy that you could not hear your stock speakers. He would need to get another amp to power up the stock speakers as well.
