NYPD In Chargers?

Yeah I am guessing the majority of them will end up being the V6 version. Between the price gap and cost of gas, combined with the 6 being able to spank a v8 crown vic well it's a easy choice. NYPD's jurisdiction does not have an extensive amount of highways that would justify the acceleration requirement of the 8.

Departments get huge price breaks on police versions of the vehicles. They often have less creature comforts but strong on the HD components like cooling, charging system and suspension.

"The police highway unit will test drive 10 Chargers featuring V-8 engines, officials said. The rest will have V-6s and hit city streets in the five boroughs.

Well I finally saw my 1st NYPD Charger at my command. Who's driving it you ask? Not me.. The Chief! Rank has its priveldges.

Its actually a R/T with nav and a sunroof. No police package. I hope the ones that go out on patrol get those options too!

Once I get my superchips programmer working on my Mag, i'm going to ask him if he wants to give it a go.

Do I have to let him win??
