    New Hood

I just put on a SRT8 hood on my R/T. There is a gap between the front of the hood and the top of the bumper cover that is larger than with the stock R/T hood. Is this common? I will post picks later. The rear (windshield side) is evenly matched with the fenders. Seems like the SRT 8 hood is shorter than the R/T hood. Is this possible?

    Thanks in advance..

Here's a pic of the "gap". Looks big to me. What do you guys think. Normal?

Also painted my front chrome grill.....

And took off the side moldings.......

see if the guys that installed it can adjust it forward abit to close the gap. Besides that it looks very even on the fitment. Car looks great.

Thanks......I could move the hood a little more forward, but the other edge will be off. Right now the back is perfectly aligned.

Yeah the front facia's on these cars are held on with those plastic push pins.
If you open your hood, take hold of the top of the facia, you'll notice you can move it back and forth quite a bit, hence changning the gap.

Just took a look at my SRT8. Your gap seems about twice as big as mine. Mine matches the gap ont he sides.

    Hope this helps.

more pix! further back... looks good though, my CBD hood fits a little closer than that, but they said they extended it from the stock hood a tiny bit to compensate for that gap
