    New front fascia vs. repairing

Hey all, so a couple winters ago i had a little fender bender and fudged my front fascia pretty good (not noticeable from a distance so i never worried about it). but im getting some vinyl stripes soon so i need this problem taken care of.

There's a slight bubble in the bumper and the paints cracking like dry skin (not coming off though) and the worst part is the two complete cracks that go down the front bend behind the license plate bracket (not visible)
    here are some pics:

    the cracked bubbly area

Heres a vertical view (looking down behind the plate bracket)

and here's the right side, its cracked alittle worse

im yet to take the bracket off in fear of making it worse
any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated

I just had a small incident happen to my car at the hands of someone else. Granted mine is just a standard front cover. But was quoted $550 for the repair (and filling in the licence plate holes) and no guarantee how it would turn out. And $600 for an aftermarket replacement cover $200, and $400 paint and labor.
I'll post some pics of the damage when I get home.

I do know they don't have a SRT front cover I asked. :(

yeah it seems I'm better off just getting the aftermarket replacement, or just the one from mopar super center (oem style)

i was mainly worried about having problems with the bumper if i got it repaired (whether i got it painted or just a problem with the vinyl in the areas where damage used to be)

Have you tried a heat gun to heat the bumper from underneath... it could fix your bubble problem.

And as far as fixing the broken piece I would suggest using a product called SEM problem plastic repair. The stuff works awesome and will not crack. Talk to your local auto paint store about it. It runs about $35 bucks a tube.
Mods- Shaved Handles, Shaved Drip Rails, Shaved Gas Tank Door, Shaved Rear End, Custom Front End, All the Danko Products Made and Filled, Custom Rear Spoiler, Shaved Tail Lights, Viper Orange Paint, Viper Comp Grey Wheels.

hmm yeah ill check that out, even if the stuff isnt the color of the bumper, the stripes will be going over it anyways lol so i technically wouldnt need to get it painted

Urethane fascias can be "welded" with a soldering iron and a small rod of urethane, then sanded, filled, primed & painted. Use a flex agent in the paint so it won't crack.
