Talking ((NEW! Carbon Fiber OEM Spoiler))

Hey, just saw this on another forum and had to post. While CBD continues to slumber, others pick up the ball.

If CBD makes this, you can expect alot of sales...if the price is right.

As cool as that is, 600 is damn steep for a factory looking spoiler if you ask me.

You could take off your existing spoiler and send it out to be wrapped in carbon fiber and achieve the look for WAY less than what they are charging for that.

    Just my opinion though...

Agreed, the price is a bit steep, but who are you gonna get to wrap a spoiler in CF? Seriously? Don't you think if you could get it done like that it would have been done long ago? I don't think any of these companies are interested in that kind of work.

Personally, I would love to see AECarbon make a CF/Kevlar Orange & Black weave and apply it to a SRT8 style hood and rear spoiler, but I don't see that happening any time soon, if ever.

CBD and AE have their own agendas and if you're not within a stone's throw of them, I doubt anyone will get any traction on a custom setup, especially those of us above the 49th Parallel. Just my

I did a car show last fall (fairly local to me, 45 mins to an hour away) and there was a company set up there as a vendor with all sorts of CF products on display. I took a look around at everything and asked the guy if he made anything for the LX crowd specifically. He said if I was just going after the look (which Id say about 98% of carbon fiber customers are), he could wrap whatever I wanted done in carbon fiber, and his prices were very reasonable as well.

That's the only reason I brought this up.

So yes, anyone could have done this long ago.... just no one has taken the time to follow through on it at all.

VIP300c is making that...look at the ebay name. They have never priced their products reasonably where they should be.

I don't suppose you have a name, phone number, or business card from him, do you? Hell, I'd get a spoiler from SpoilerSource and ship it directly to him.

We can't even get people up here to do chrome for our bike parts, never gonna find someone that can do the CF stuff.

Interesting. I may have to look into this. Then you wouldn't be pigeon-holed into using what someone else offered. You could use your stock SRT8 hood, or the Cuda AAR offered by VFN.

Definitely something to think about. Thanks

I see that HydroImaging is "retooling" and not taking any new orders. I'll have to look for more businesses of this type besides Phoenix Image.

Of course you will, but like you said in prior posts, you'll only one man. You've done some awesome things so far, especially with the CF/kevlar weaves. I guess if I had an unlimited budget I'd have a chance of weaseling my way into your busy schedule, but until then, I just don't see it happening.

have you tried searching the internet. i am sure there are lots of companies out the who could wrap it. but it is like anything else "you have to pay to play" that's just the way it is if you want one-off stuff. i bet if you get it done others will fallow.
