    MPG and Air hammer question.

Ok I put on the Air hammer on last weekend. Tuesday I went to FRY'S (electronics stor). The closest one is 70 miles round trip. I leave check gas I have plenty to get there and back. I had a 3/4 tank. Went straight there and back home I go to turm it off look down and HMOG i went threw a 1/2 tank.

Well last night i got a call from a friend that left his wallet. He work off shore and was stuck with no money for gas. So I got in his 07 Charger and it had a full tank. The only difference in the two is that I have the air hammer and he dont. Got back looked at the guage and still had 1/4 tank. Thats a 290 miles trip.

Has anyone got this bad of miliage with the Hammer? Would resetting the puter do anything? Any help or the Hammer will only be a show piece and I wil be going back to stock.

Just a thought, but is it possible that you had your foot in a "bit" deeper than usual, so you could hear that sweet roar? It's awfully easy to do. I know I'm guilty.

I have not heard of nor had any events with radically decreased fuel mileage with the Airhammer before. In fact almost everyone reports having an increase in fuel mileage.
Please check on the EVIC and see what the fuel mileage readout is. It may be an angular distortion of the photograph but it looks like that the filter was installed a little cocked on the end of the barrell. This would cause an unneccessary restriction in the airpath.
Have you reset fuse 11 yet?
Are you positive that you have the IAT completely plugged in at the socket and that you didnt damage it on reinstallation?
In the install manual that is included with every unit my personal cell number in case you need any help or have any questions at all.
    Lets get this solved!!!

Yeah, I'm guessin' fuse 11 needs to be reset. HAL is probably mixin' too rich. Pull fuse 11, leave it out for a few minutes (I've heard 10 minutes is a safe bet), then plug it back in. Your adaptive learning will reset, and adapt to the increased air flow from the hammer.

Fuse 11 pull is a good start...don't think you need to wait that long...all you're doing is clearing volatile RAM memory by removing continuous power to it...should discharge itself quite rapidly...a minute should be plenty of time.

Yeah I gotta agree with Cadzilla... I've been told 10 minutes but a minute should be sufficient.

Not something you can 'lose' - it's built in...

I'd wonder about the airflow sensor - is it 'sideways'? No 'goo' on it ??

My mileage went up - if I can keep my foot out of it, I'd 'guesstimate' a couple more, I haven't done any long distance cruising since, but I will be next month. As long as the snow is gone...

i rest 11 yesterdeay and double check the instructions. main reason is that some else was reading them to me. I forgot one step. I forgot to throw the old one at the goat. but after the 11 reset looks good now.

I just got a PM from a friend in HI that said his mileage jumped 2-3 per gallon! I have had one customer friend tell me that hos went up a solid 4 miles mer gallon...
OF course this is due to the Foley effect and everyones is somewhat different. I have not heard of anyones going down tho..
