Yes it is hard but doable. I took my time and it took a lot of time to do it because when u have little questions there is no one there to answer. If I knew what I know now I would of never did it.
Its not as hard as it sounds. It is very intimidating. I can take mine off in about 20 minutes by myself.
One trick I learned to get to the stud up in the fender is to take the side marker light out, use a thick rag and a flat blade screwdriver and tenderly pry the light out, it will pop out, and take your hand put it in place of the light and push very hard back twards the fender while turning the nut with a socket.
The halos are very bright and can be seen during peak daylight hours. I believe they are 6000k but you can get them in other ranges and colors from AAC.

I did them on my Magnum, would not do it again. A lot of work and I busted 3 halos during the install. Most people (and me) use the 10,000 k halos.
But they do look nice...............

The hardest part of doing this install, assuming that you're installing the halos into your headlights yourself, is getting the lights apart and cleaned up. I've had to bake two sets of Magnum lights (first install failed, second bake was just to paint my stock silver bezels black) and it takes time and a lot of patience. The very first light I took apart took me 6hrs to do. This is primarily due to two reasons. First I was using brand new aftermarket headlights (not OEM), and second, every oven is different and it took quit a while to find the right temp for my oven. You start at about 220 deg F, at 20 minutes and if that's not enough, you keep bumping the temp up in 5 deg increments and use 10 min intervals for reheating. This took a long time as I had to get up to 265 deg before the adhesive in my lights softened up enough so that I could get them apart.
However the experience and knowledge I gained doing this first light was priceless. I had the second one completely apart in 2hrs (bezel out as well), but my learning experience was not over yet. One thing I did realize with both sets of headlights I've done is that, for me anyway, it was best to completely remove the old adhesive. It was only going to lead to leaks. This also can take quite a while to get removed. It doesn't have to be 100% off, but the vast majority should be gone. Of that which is left, you should only have either a light film left on the lens or small miniscule bits left in the housing.
My next lesson? That was not to use epoxy to hold the halos in place but rather use clear silicone. Why? Most epoxies will shrink while 100% pure silicone will not. Also the silicone will act as a bit of a shock absorber. One note addressing this point. I've noticed a huge diffference in how the halos mount between the Magnum and Charger headlights. On the Chargers, the halos go in front of the bezels where as on the Magnums, they aren't big enough so they must go around the ID of the light bezels. This can make for a big difference in what you use to adhere your halos to your bezels. Because the Magnum halos are smaller than the ID of the light bezels, using anything that can shrink to hold them in place can put enough force on them to break the rings. This is what happened to three of my four rings. Because the Charger halos mount on the font of the bezels, this isn't nearly as much of a concern. While it could still happen, I don't think that the chances are as great. Anyhow, if you do decide to use an epoxy, be sure to use a high quality one that specifies that it does not shrink!
To reseal your lights, I found it best to use 100% pure silicone. You can use black, clear or whatever color floats your boat. With both sets of headlights I've done, neither has fogged or leaked with this method. You just have to be sure to get the channel in the housing clean as well as the lip around the lens that seats in this channel. If these are not clean enough when you reseal them with silicone, you run a greater risk of fogging and/or leaking.
My methods should by no means be taken as gospel, but work for me based upon my experience. Take it for whatever it's worth.

Nice lessons learned MrMopar. I'm thinking bout doing this i've done this before but with my 2000 Dodge Stratus headlights and it worked out great, gonna try it with the Mag lights as soon as I get enuf cash for the Halos
OK, I've got some help for you! You're in luck having a Charger - they're MUCH easier than Magnums.
Instead of writing it all out, let me point you to where I've already done so:
Here's one with lots of info on the electrical part of a Halo install - it's not a "How to install Halos" thread, but it's a lot of info you need to know on the electrical part (which is where most people have issues).

And here's one on how to pull the front end off:

Great write up MrMopar. It's not so much taking your front off your car but the halos themself are a pain in the #$ss. Make sure you mark your holes, i kind of did mine by just lining up the ring and kind of by eye i guess and i was off ended up having to enlarge the hole. Also the epoxy that is given with the halos is messy, well find so anyway. Me and my buddy did both of cars in around 6 or so hours. It was dark out when we assembled our fascia back on, lol
