    JBA Cat-back system

Hey I have some pictures of the exhaust on the car. There are none from under the car.

The results from the dyno was the following:

    Baseline: 282 hp & 325 lb-ft
    With JBA: 292 hp & 343 lb-ft

    Gain: 10 hp and 18 lb-ft at the tires/

The graphs will be on the JBA site soon.

Here it goes. At around 2150-2225 rpm there is a slight drone but nothing like other exhaust systems I had in the past. Now you ask how can I be so exact with the RPM? I have the digital display on set to rpm and that other stuff. You can have a person sitting next to you have a peaceful chat without screaming or yelling at each other.

I wish I could give you a sound clip but sorry I don't have the gear to make it happen. I would say that the clips that are on the JBA website are 98% correct.

I truly believe those of you that get this system, will enjoy it! It sounds great!
    Thank you Bigal470

I am still on the fence with the JBA. Someones slight Drone is some other persons huge drone. And it is very difficult to determine from the soundclips that JBA has on their site. I actually don't care for the soundclips at all. They could've done a better job. I think I will just save my bucks and get the zoomers. They are a lot more expensive but I might as well do it once and do it right.

The drone he's talking about is barely noticable. With the window down or radio on low it is non-existant. I absolutely love the sound. I can converse with anyone in the car yet it's sounds pretty mean when you drop the hammer. Every exhaust out there will have a drone. You won't be disappointed! I have both the headers and the Cat back.

Well I would hate to see you spend all that extra money on something that might be as good as the JBA system.

The slight drone (and I might SLIGHT drone) is nothing that is bad. You might be thinking that you will get this loud humming sound coming into the car and gives you a headache after a little bit. This system will not do that.

The first night I had it on, I drove for 4 straight hours. From San Diego to Oxnard, yes I know that is only 200 miles but the 5 and 405 crunch, the 405 and 605 crunch, the 405 and 710 crunch, LAX crunch, the 405 and 10 crunch and the last 405 and 101 crunch. That takes 4 freakin hours!!! After that long drive, the sound at crusing speed was great, no drone. BUT when you step on the gas you get that great howllllll sound!!!!

    My 2 cents!!!
    Thank you Bigal470

Man, I wish either you (Mighty Noid) or rps232 could post some sound clips. I would love to hear the exhaust. Of course I am now too late for the Group buy and probably have to wait until my next opertunity.
Or Mighty... did you say you have a source that can get the exhaust for a decent price?

I just ordered my JBA Exhaust and I cant wait.
For people that already have it, how was the install if you did it yourself.
Its a bolt on bolt off, so was it easy to do and how about taking off the stock, was that bolt off.
If you went to a shop, what was the price?
    Thanks
