    I Missed Her, But She's Back!

    My father-in-law had bypass surgery last Monday in Ft. Wayne, IN, and for unavoidable reasons, Mrs. HemiDreamin' had to take my Daytona, leaving me with the kids and the Freestyle Kid Haulin' Machine. I missed her terribly, but the wife brought her back safe and sound!

    Father-in-law is doing as well as can be expected--he and my mother-in law both loved the car (although she said it was "cute"--but she did add that the interior was like a "luxury car").

    During dinner, the kids and I asked Mrs. HemiDreamin' how the car was on the trip (first time since we've owned it that it has gone more than 60 miles from home), and she shrugged and said, "OK". She's not one to exuberantly dole out accolades, especially wrt a machine. As dinner went on, though, you could see even her eyes light up as she said how fast it was, and how people kept looking at her and smiling. With all that and the fact that she found a station that played Josh Groban, I think that we got as close as an enthusiastic review as we'll ever get from her.

    Well, since this is an anonymous forum...

    The wife and I have been together for almost 25 years, while the Charger and I are still getting to know one another after less than two months. So you might say that I missed the car *just a smidge* more. But I will deny everything if this gets brought up at Starved Rock. What is said on the forum, stays on the forum, right?

    Hey 36--

    I found out the hard way that she has all 6 slots of the CD changer in the Freestyle filled with Josh Groban CDs. Thought I was gonna have a heart attack when I started it up for the first carpool!
