    Fuel gauge !! Wtf

Ok When I feel up my rig.. the gauge never reads full.. so then when I drive around and shut it off then start it up later .. it shows half full.. even though Ive only driven it a few miles.. then shut it off and start it up and it shows empty ... not exactly in that order or fassion but its all over the damn place .. its a little annoying.. any ideas

Well, for starters you need to stop feeling up your rig........

But after that issue gets resolved, look into what the others have said.

Ditto on the sending unit and possible instrument cluster gauge.

I agree... feeling your rig won't raise the gas level any... but filling it up may

Good luck, sounds like warranty work is needed!

How does that song go...."Oh what a feelin'....." can anyone remember? It's been so long since my rig had one.

    from online database:

    Case NumberK26519518
Vehicle IssueFuel gauge is inaccurate.;Customer may complain of running out of fuel when the gauge indicates there is fuel in the tank. Customer may complain of only adding 10 gallons of fuel when gauge reads empty.
System or ComponentErratic Operation / Fluctuates,Inaccurate;Customer Concern (No DTCs);Fuel Gauge
RecommendationPlease remember that the secondary module (right side) is just that. There is no pump on that side. There is a venturi action which needs fuel flow from the primary side to operate the syphoning effect to transfer fuel back to the primary side (left). Without the flow from the primary (left side) there is no secondary transfer. The fuel sending unit resistance readings should be about 996 ohms Empty and 52 ohms Full and will only be equal at full tank or empty tank. The voltage readings should be about 0.6 volts Full and 6.7 volts Empty. At a 1/2 of tank, on the right side (Secondary) reading should be around EMPTY, While on the Left side (Primary) it should be nearly full. If reading are not correct then, try a new primary module. NOTE: please check for foreign material or contamination when ever erratic fuel gauge issues are encountered or fuel tank services are performed

    Case NumberK34440406
Vehicle IssueThe Fuel Gauge Is Inaccurate. Gauge Bounces Around. No Codes. Fuel gauge has a fuel reading when the tank is empty.;Technician Tested The Instrument Cluster For Proper Operation. Fuel gauge has a reading that is inaccurate based on the actual fuel level in the tank.
    System or ComponentErratic Operation / Fluctuates,Inaccurate;Customer Concern (No DTCs);Fuel Gauge;Yes - Intermittent,Yes - Continuously;No Fuel in Tank
RecommendationCheck both of the sending units for proper resistance. Both sending units are direct inputs to the cluster. At the cluster with a full tank of fuel the resistance of the sensors can be checked. All values are aproximate = Left side (Primary) 59 ohms full and 911 ohms empty Right side (Secondary) 93 ohms full and 956 ohms empty , Voltages range from .6 full to 6.8 empty After the level drops to a point where the equalization of fuel is not likely, the right side fuel level drops to empty as auxiliary pump continues the transfer of fuel to the left side. At this point the logic looks at the level of both sending units. If the right side indicates empty and the left indicates a nominal amount, the right side is basically ignored.
