    Factory U-Connect

Has anyone found out where the factory install location for the microphone is? I am a tall guy so my seat is further back. Some of my friends and family members have complained about not being able to hear me.

The microphone is in the rear view mirror. I am 6'2" and drive with the seat nearly all the way back. I have never had a problem with anyone hearing or understanding me. I suspect that you might have some problem other than distance to the microphone. A trip to the dealer might be in order.

Slouch and see if you can see the top of the mirror. If you can't, lower it a bit, that may help... (Make it so the Mic can see your mouth, in other words...)

Part of it is also the phone and how it handles the bluetooth audio.

It would be nice, though, if we could do a mod where we can move the microphone. No sense in it being three feet away when it could be half that distance. Another thing to consider, I find that most people complain about being able to hear me when I have the fan on. I'll put the fan speed at its lowest when on the phone and everyone I've talked to says that it's better.

I'm also 6'2, so I sit as far back as the seat will go & have had no problems with people hearing me. As a matter of fact all my calls tell me I sound better.

I'd have it checked out. There's two microphones for noise cancelling, you should not have a problem with the fan.

I'm 6'3" and people hear me perfectly. In fact, many have thought I was at home talking on a handset. It truly is a great handsfree system.
