Just for fun:

06 R/T 5.7 with functional ram air intake, exhaust, thermostat, and a stage 2 chip.

Apparently, the exhaust is just a catback and the thermostat has no fan mod to make it worth doing. The stage 2 chip I can only assume is the FP and jet combo? Probably not though, it's most likely just a Jet chip or something.

But, I'd also welcome estimates for headers, high flows and the fan mod added into the mix. This is on regular street tires.

I'm calling BS on a guy on another board and he refuses to accept the truth about what this combo will run. I'll keep his times and my times to myself for now.

you talking the whole car or the mods? if it's a still new '06, figure $27k-ish. Functional ram-air, assuming that includes a hood, sticker price $1500 installed. Exhaust? Good one, figure about a grand. Thermostat, that's free. Stage 2 chip, about 3 tanks of gas worth of $$$.

maybe 25Hp over stock. a stock magnum can run 14.30s at an average DA of say 1800'. i would guess he now runs 14.00s at the same 1800' DA.

At our track I would bet a 13.6-13.7, somewhere around there... stock would be a half second slower IMO...

Maybe an 06 Charger S R/T 8 with those mods would run a 12.6, but that's hard to believe.
Mind you, a guy once told us back in the early 80s that he and his buddy "timed" his 1971 460 Mustang in the 1/4 mile... it was a hydraulic cammed 60 series tired- run of the mill car.
He said it ran 6 seconds in the 1/4 mile.

the DA is the density altitude. it is a measurement of just how good the air is. the lower the number, the better it is for horsepower.

12.60s with just a catback, ram-air, and a jet chip? he has a timeslip? that would be a record if he ran than.
