Diamond?

Well I got my charger, good stock system. I was going to put a new head unit in, mb quart components, take out rear 6x9's, and stick 2 RE 12" subs in trunk, well the prices on those subs went up and i kant find any. Would anyone know if the Diamond Audio D612D4 would be good as those RE SE 12" subs? I would get two and wire them to one ohm through a 1200 watt kicker amp (which I hear actually push about 1400 watts rms, not 1200), would they get distorted or are they good enough subs? I'm just for daily driving but I want a GOOD sound system not some cheap distorting one, thanks. Any suggestions, comments, recommendations, changes, anything appreciated, thanks!
