I finally decide to remove the side door molding. It took me about a year to decide. I was worried about getting dings, but I notice its not even around that area and I try to look for stalls that are big. I do like it better without the side moldings. I was lucky, it was easy to remove and there were lines but once I kept waxing and polishing it, it started to come off. I like it with the moldings on as well but I just like it more without it.

Quite amazing how much removing that thin moulding can update the car's appearance. Nice pix.
Thanks guys! I didn't know it would make that much of a difference. It will be easier to polish! I know the srt don't have the side moldings also.
looks good
Congrats! While the underlying paint condition always makes people hesitate about doing this, I think removing those moldings gives the car a great new look at everyone's favorite price...$0![]()

I like it and have wanted to do this. But, I'm hesitant on removing mine for 2 reasons, 1. With some of my luck pulling off the molding would mess the paint job up and I would be swearing up a storm and 2. The minute I do that someone will probably ding my door in a parking lot where the molding used to be on the car. So as much as I like the look of this and would love to do this, I'm going to keep mine on.

I know what you mean, It took me one year to decide to do it but I just took the plunge and did it..LoL..
I agree it looks alot better.I've always like them without molding.
I couldn't believe how much dirt was under mine when I removed ours. It was only 1yr old. I also saw an older car in our parking lot at work that had big rust spots surrounding the molding and that made me feel much better about removing ours.![]()

Looks fantastic. Congrats. You have more guts than I (door dings). Maybe one day I'll man-up and get out the fishing line.
