Day at the track (round two)

Well I got to make it to the track today after installing my Zoomer Catbacks.

Track conditions were ugly. 20 - 30 mph winds blowing into the side of the cars. Sand on the track.... Great day though.

    My runs were....

    14.06@101.9 rt .52 (ouch) 60' 2.16 Iced down first to 165*F

    14.33@99.5 rt .20 (better) 60' 2.24 did not ice down 225* F

14.07@99.6 rt .07 (better) 60' 2.16 Iced down to 170*F dropped rear tire pressure to 25 psi....

    14.3@98.6 rt .19(ok) 60' 2.21 did not ice down 230*F tire pressure still 25psi

14.1@99.2 rt .02(best) 60' 2.15 let cool down with hood open no ice. 185* tire pressure still 25psi

With better track conditions and tire pressure at 35psi and temp around 160* F, I know I will be in the high 13's.....

For those who do not know, I am at 5380 ft elevation. That is why the numbers look bad... 1 - 1.2 seconds slower for this altitude. :fuming:

    great runs

great runs man, that beast can sure get it.

The altitude is a bummer. Guess you'd be a natural for a supercharger?

By the times... I assume that was with your R/T (not srt8)

Get yourself a flashpaq... You'll end up in the 13's for sure. Nice runs though.

I'm betting it was with the SRT8 because of the altitude.

I am sure there is a conversion that you can do for sea level... you will have your 13's then.

    **UPDATE**

Here is a link to the NHRA, might help with a conversion for you, or atleast give you a better idea of what you would run at sea level...

    http://www.nhra.com/tech_specs/altitude.html

At sea level, your looking at 13.2's easy, cool weather, good reaction times, and cold hemi would be optimum - but you know that!

Correct, was my SRT8 and the altitude is the factor.... I don't race the R/T.... It's my daily driver until the Challenger comes out, then I trade in the R/T.

Personally, I much prefer the real times and an altitude disclaimer.

Not quite sure what you talkin about, but I assure you those are actual "High Elevation" times..... If you want to know what I would have run at sea level... take of about 1 - 1.2 seconds, roughly.
