    Forgive my ignorance, but did Mercedes just plain buy out chrysler lock stock and barrel, or is chrysler still an American car?

    When I look at the video of the jeep unveiling, charger unveiling, etc it seems as if they are all american car icons, being introduced by guys with german accents! Nothing wrong with german accents of course, but God I just wish buying an American car will involve listening to some American Race Car Driver or American car Guy, Shelby, Lee Iacoca, ....

    Yes I do appreciate the technology FROM Mercedes, leaking tranny, weird bolt above the tire, funny cruise control stalk, and all, but I bought my RT because of the Engine, that Hemi brute engine.

    Ok, I'll go take some more cold medicine and go back to bed.

    You'd think the Germans could at least humor us by hiring an announcer with a deep southern accent so that we could at least continue to pretend they are still all-American muscle cars!

    Yeah.. I am a little creeped out by Deutschlanders pushin' Dodges. How about speech training for Deiter so he can sound like a Texan?
    I suppose it is all fluff n the end. I really do give a jolly drat about the accents... I just want the cars, the car is the only real reason we are all here.

    Hey Smoker! Im a Southern Boy! And I have a GOOOD Southern accent! I would LOVE to get up on stage and promo it!
