Charger R/T Vs. SRT8

Ok so now that I have been corrected in my ways of leaving vital information out... let me put this back up with the much needed information.... I was at the open "track night" at the air strip here in my town. Local LEO's set this up seeing that the high school children were doing stupid things out on the local streets...any ways.. A ex local that moved to a near-by city rolled into town to shine in his new blacked out SRT8.. "looks damn good btw" so he see's me cruzin and proceeds to follow me down to the strip... he turned around guessing because he had seen the officers at the front gate. So I proceed in after paying the 15$ and there I was I burned a couple of mustangs and a camero... well I see the familar body lines of the lx that Im so in love with and guess who it is .. mr davies with his srt.. so we wait our turns so we can stage up .. we line up and I ask him you wana go from a start or do you want to go from a stop.. he obliges and says lets do it from a roll.. so we kick off and get up to speed .. we hit 35 then at the count of three .. we hit it... well my 5.7 pulled him.. and I didnt belive what I had seen.. so we turn around and stage once again...we go at it again with the same results. We played like that 2 more times before we both decided from a stop. well we line up ... and ..... of course the srt jumps on me off the line but once we hit 30-40 mph he didn't gain any distance on me... so with all of that said... was it that my R/T is really running that good or did he just not know what the heck he was doing??

My guess is that it was the driver of the SRT.....

he had no idea what he was doing. i have been spanked by heavily modified RTs before mostly stroke 392s but if i floor my SRT without really knowing anything, no way ur RT with ur listed mods should be with me except you run a 13.0 on the 1/4 mile.

Well what are your e.t.s and trap speeds? That will tell us everything. Good kill regardless, I will not discount what your eyes did see on that particular day.

nah I just think our R/T's can take your srt's haha jk, i wish, but sometimes i really dont understand these kind of things either but good job on the kill

they don't even have a light tree so they just pretty much have the EMS there with the police and then they let you stage up and the human light tree drops the rag or the hat or what ever lol so I dont know what my trap speeds or any #'s yet... ill be going into the city here soon so I can get a slip... although Ill probly get eat'n alive there..

this happens with my 3.5

Today, it was a fire-breathing monster. Thrilling acceleration at any rpm.

Other days, it can't get out of its own way.

The butt dyno is not being fooled. its probably a weather sensitive car

you would not believe the money people spend to try and look like an SRT.

I have seen a 300C in my area with every possible external mod to look exactly like a 6.1!

They even had the rear fascia and exhaust tips. The only way to spot it was to view the brakes.

yeah man....if it was an SRT8 ..you should have gotten your ass kicked unless you have some heavy mods (like a new motor) but based on your sig, you should have got owned. My daytona kicks like a bitch and then falls flat on its face....My Jeep SRT8GC roasts the **** out of it, from a roll and a stop...
