    Charger picture....no April Fool's joke either ;)

According to today's Automobile Magazine, the new Charger is going to be a sedan version of the Magnum....or a Dodge branded 300. Here's a scan of the article (sorry for the scan quality)

As much as I like the concept of a Magnum sedan, this really isn't what I would do for the Charger. Compared to the '99 Charger concept, this is a pretty plain looking car. Now, I suppose if I had never seen the Charger concept, I'd probably think that this was a good idea, even though I think it could be a little more aggressive looking. I hope you all enjoy this....

When the time comes, I am going to purchase a Magnum R/T and slap on the 300C front sheet metal cause I really want the 300 wagon they are selling in Europe and I am pissed they won't sell it here.

I'll be like Jose with the 300M front clip on his Intrepid.

    Dear E8502:

Based on comments by yourself, and likewise by Keitho at Allpar, As of April 6th, DC was planning on rolling out the Charger in New York.

What odds would you give as of now that we will see the Charger before the end of New York? 100% - 50% 1%?

If I keep hitting refresh on my browser for here and Allpar over the next day like today, I am going to have to requisition a new freakin keyboard.

As for alot of comments on the new Charger, the "green" one FROM the old Car and Truck seems to have the most support. Would you concur?

    thanks,
    d.o.

    Glazeworld, cool photoshop!! :D

Well, I think it's fair to say we probably won't see the Charger at New York this week, but there's always a chance. So 30% would sound reasonable as of now.

Picture the green one with a different front clip, more like the Magnum, and make it four door. Thats what I’m told.

If you have been keeping track of the direction Chrysler has been heading with the designs of their new vehicles you will notice that even though vehicles share platforms, none of them share the amounts of sheet metal like they have in the past. Chrysler has even made mention that Chryslers and Dodges will not have a cookie cutter look with just different front and rear facias. They stated that each variant FROM a platform will have its own distinctive design.....So, this most likely is not even close to what the Charger will look like since it looks like a Magnum with the rear chopped off!
