Black needed for torRed r/t

I purchased a stock used grill for my r/t last week in hopes of painting it matte black like on the daytona, has anyone already done this? just wondering what the paint code is for the dodge matte black on the daytona, is it clear coated? any pics of mod already completed would be greatly appreciated. any suggestions on paint manufacture of this color? Sorrry, to ramble on but im excited about this new mod.

That matte black you are seeing on the Daytona isn't paint. It is actually a vinyl decal.

But, I am sure somebody can point you in the right direction to get a matte/flat black paint. Or, just go to an auto paint store and talk to the guys behind the counter.

i knew the hood and decklid had vinyl graphics but im not so sure the grill is in vinyl also, thanks for the info though nice wheels by the way.

Well, after doing some research (well, several Google searches) and I could be wrong, but it doesn't seem that there is a Dodge Paint Code for the flat black used on the Daytona Spoiler.

I did find this: Paint Codes.... *
But that lists the Paint Codes for the cars.

Some of the articles I read basically said that Flat Black is Flat Black. Matte Black is Matte Black. Just go to your local autoparts store and pick up a can of which ever you want. I'd test it first just to be sure tho!!

Think the Matte Black on the crosshairs was as the part came outta the press/mould.. Much like the rear spoilers they come matte black to start with..
