Bet you Haven't seen a SHAKER HOOD like this CAI Ram air-What looks better? This/srt8

For all you Charger Freaks, have a look at this Fiberglass shaker hood kit. It's a Real Old School Functional Shaker Scoop just like the 'Cuda and 'Challenger. Also check out the custom front upper and lower grilles and the front lip spoiler I'm working on. You can see many more pics on my yahoo photo album. Smells like somebody that works with the maker fishing for bites. If so, become a supporting vendor, or be ignored or banned.

    Wink

Besides being a Charger Fan (had a 1970 Charger 440-6 4-speed B5 blue with white vinyl top when I was a teenager) I'm a proffesional fiberglass guy, so I did all the custom work myself. I did start with a 'Cuda shaker scoop, but had to shorten and raise it a bit to make it fit. I will be finished with the molds for the hood, scoop and parts in about a week, but the grilles and the spoilers are still a month or so away. Ravenkeeper98, sorry I'm not smelling quite ready to be a vendor yet, but that may come soon too if the thing is in demand. For now, just poking for feedback on the design

if you have a web site upload the pics there and link them here using the img and /img tags.

Lots of ISP give you some limited space that you can use check into that.

Nah, the one up at the top of this thread is a real shaker hood, the one in your pic looks like a fake fiberglass shaker style on a stock hood. BIG difference.

I hope the fitment is better when this guy is done, because as of right now, it looks pretty bad.

Actually, the fittment IS perfect, especially since this is pic is of the OEM metal hood! The camera lens is playing with the lines. Also, the grilles are showing multicolor sanding marks, so naturally it doesn't look right. This scoop really looks nothing like the CDC design - you just need to see more angles of both. I would also like to know how this works out, because I've been actively looking for a hood. The best one I've seen is the DMG hood, but I have the same issue with it being simply a scoop. The CAI they offer does not benefit from "ram air" and I would need to see it in person to feel comfortable about how the scoop would take weather. From the pictures of this design, it appears to be a taller version of the CDC Magnum Shaker system. The body guys I've shown that design question the rigidity of the OEM hood after cutting a hole in it. May not be an issue for those that have it. After removing the speed limiter, might be for some.

A new fiberglass hood with a separate ram air system would the first I've seen (new vehicles), but the big question will be at what cost? If ballpark is double other hood designs, may be less attractive. Again, I'm interested, just wish it was available sooner to see it, so that I could paint the front end at the same time I redo the front fascia.
