    Badge Changes on Trunk!

Made a few changes to the badges on the trunk.
Removed the Ram Head (after painting it black I still didn't like it).
Removed the Charger block letters and replaced with '71 Charger Script.
Removed the American Muscle logo also.
I think it looks much cleaner now!
Poor picture I took it in the garage with a flash.

2011 Charger RT, R&T Pkg. Moon Roof, loaded.
First Mods; 35% Tint, two tone custom painted wheels by 402 Motoring, Flowmaster aggressive catback, LMI Frankentake 4 CAI, '71 Charger script emblems painted black fenders and rear deck, More to come

I'm new to this so forgive my ignorance but are those old style script logos drilled in or stuck on like the new ones. I had a 1971 Mustang and a lot of it was drilled into place but I know that they glue the new ones. How did you do it? Also, did you use heat to help pry off the original trunk logo?
    Thanks

It's the original real deal, all metal with the two pins made for the holes.
I used a Dremell tool to grind the pins flush with the edge. I then used JB Weld to fill in the hollow. I allowed the weld to dry for 24 hours, then I attached 3m molding tape and placed it on the trunk lid. A word to the wise: our Charger trunk has a very slight contour to it. The script emblem is perfectly flat. I ever so lightly bent both ends little by little until it fit flush on the trunk. I removed the block letters with a hair dryer to heat them and dental floss to lift them off. Then cleaned with rubbing alcohol, washed with Dawn to remove all wax, installed the script and waxed around it.

Thanks, I was thinking that you could just grind off the posts. That doesn't sound too tough to do. Thanks for the tip on the panel not being perfectly flat. I think I'll do it!

I like it!! I have the Daytona so there's the vinyl to deal with on the trunk. I decided to put the Charger Script emblem up front on the grill. I just love the look of that old school script emblem!!

I didn't like the chrome Ram emblem up front either, so I made some changes to it as well:

Very nice, I ordered a front emblem from Billet. Grim Reaper with Torred painted eyes with an inscription. I'll post when I get it. My wind up doing the front script as well.
