I live in south texas so no need for heating here, the weather does that for me . but yeah, they come right off. I used fishing line to get them off.

any horror stories with bubles in paint after removing? just read this "well I removed the side molding yesterday and have an ugly rash of paint "bubbles" underneath. Has anyone had luck with the dealer on getting these fixed.

If not, any recommended fix or is the only fix a re-paint?"

I dont need that ****.....this is not common right?

The paint should be fine. I found stinky rotting mildew underneath mine, time is ticking... the longer you wait, the worse potential for paint damage IMHO.

Only drawback is actually not that bad, more exercise walking from the back of the parking lot... meanwhile today I parked way back at the grocery store and found one car on EACH SIDE of my ride, way in the back of the lot... grrrr they're attracted to the beast I guess. No new dings at least.

There isn't any trash on them. They're actually pitted. I've seen them personally and it should definitely be taken care of by the dealer. None of the surrounding area (body) has been affected. Only the moldings on both sides.

call 1-800-992-1997...chrysler customer assistance... who's your dealer...did they take pics? if they didn't then chrysler has not denied it...all paint issues are authorized by a team called digital imaging.. dealers do not make the decision for paint issues...go back and insist they submit for digital imaging

This is the first time I've heard of this on a Charger. Most of the cases I've read about were on '05 Magnums (and a couple 300s). I'm really curious as to what causes this now. The image that was posted by 06TB2066 is my car and my moldings were on over a year before I pulled them. They came off PERFECT with no heat added (I actually pulled them in the shade on a 75° day, with no heat gun or anything) and left just a small hint of "ghosting" that faded in a couple days.

The paint on them is pretty thin. On my GMG you can see black coming through on the moldings. Drivers side is worse than the passenger side. I am trying to decide to either rip them off, or have my dealer replace them, then rip them off.
