Never say never with DMC. I would not have bought my RT had I know that the SRT8 Magnum was a relaity. I was told straight out by the dealership and by others here that the Magnum SRT8 will not be made.

So, expect DMC to be quiet about upcoming model until the current versions are selling well.

Just my 2cents, which based on coming FROM our office party is not worth 1/2 a cent.

When I test drove an RT, I asked the salesman if he had any info on the SRT-8 Magnum. The guy goes, "You mean the SRT-4 Neon?" and he points to an SRT-4

he's probally gonna get the first one production model made, not the prototype. I'd love to get this one for the race car shell that goes on top. I'd leave it on and just jump through the windows.

Heh! I made a $500 bet with this sales guy waaaay back when I was shopping around for an RT. I asked about the SRT-8 and he vehemently said that it was not gonna be made. I told him he was a fool (in so many words) and took his business card and made the bet with him. 4 of his co-workers and the manager endorsed the bet as they all were confident that I had no clue what I was talking about...

If I had the loot, I would have held out for the SRT-8 as I knew it was gonna be a reality. But at the time, I had no idea about the potential price difference, and I finally convinced the wife to let me trade in my Grand Prix GT to get my "baby". I had to get the gettin while the gettin was good!

In addition, I knew with the reintroduction of the HEMI in vehicles other than trucks the 300 and Magnum were going to catch on like wildfire for auto enthusiasts--which inevitably would lead to price hikes. I got my Magnum for $1200 below the 29,95 MSRP. Good luck getting a deal like that now!! And its only going to get worse as the charger and the SRT-8's come out.
