You have got to be kidding me!

    So my week started here
    Rear-ended by a DUI'er

Now today my wife was on her way with my 8 week old daughter to pick up our son at pre school when she was hit by someone who ran a stop sign. It was a 4 way stop and my wife was making a left, when the women on the left ran the stop. My wife saw her coming and swerved and luckily she hit the rear driver's side tire. The tire and rim are destroyed but the rest of the car seems fine. Heres the kicker though, I cant find the lug nut key to get the spare off.Any ideas? I called the dealership and an auto parts store and they both said I would need a mechanic to get it off.

2 accidents in 5 days, and luckily no one was hurt and neither was our fault. Im kinda scared to drive now.

Hammer an oversized socket onto the lock nut and use a breaker bar to get it off.

I've also seen a local tire guy get one off in less than a minute with a hammer and chisel.

I stripped a locking lug and mine was removed via hammer and chisel......... Ummm I would start with hammering on the socket first though.

IMO hammer and chisel are last resort!
