Talking WOW!!!! PLCMAN's Paddle Shifter Kit, with Line Lock Control. Incredible!!!

I am blown away by the professional work done by Raymond (plcman) on the paddle shifter / line lock kit he sent me. I appreciate the work he's done and suggested I'd solder up my own to save him some hours, but even for what he's sent me, the attention to detail and planning put in to this, is outstanding.

I can't bean him enough. And it's been a long time since I've been this excited to open a package!!! I hope to get this installed this weekend!

    Great work Raymond!

    Absolutely first-class.

I bought the simple kit with the adapter board, and it made the install a cinch. There are a few things that were confusing to me in the instructions, and I'll try to clarify them with pictures when I do my next install (no later than this weekend, hopefully), and see if they help.

The kit itself is wonderfully designed, and immaculately built.

So maybe you can find a way to use existing clockspring lines and multiplex the new switch signals on it for us 08 drivers?

Looks like a really high quality kit.. impressive..

    Ask and you shall receive:

    Ultimate--Paddle Jaak Hack wiring kit!

    Thanks Jim

This is really humbling to have so many people praise what I did, Thanks to everyone! I am very meticulous about what I do, and I have many hours in this finding the right parts to do the job correct.

Thanks Junior for seeing the flaws in the instructions, me being so close to this I forget that people can't see what I am seeing, and I am sure I left things out.
    Thanks again.....

I didn't say flaws, nor would I! There were parts that I had trouble visualizing though, and maybe I can put my lens to it and see if you want to use some pictures. Plus I like doing write-ups, even if they've been done before - it's actually what I want to do as a career, so I'm always practicing. This place gives me lots of opportunities.

The attention to detail, and prep that you did, even on the smallest things like having the butt connectors already crimped on to the relay wires, having pre cut and colour coded shrink tubing, just a couple of examples of attention to detail that surprised me. I knew you were doing a great job from the board design and focus on the functions, but the whole package... Wow... The praise is genuine and very well deserved.

LOL, I wanted to solder it up last night, but my better half wanted to go out for dinner, and she won. I hope to get it done tonight. I'll post another picture when it's done.

It's so cool how it's integrated. Hold both paddles in for the line lock to activate, but I love how Raymond has implemented a safety so you can only do it once, then it automatically kicks out until you purposely enable it again.

Jim, I haven't even put in this kit yet, I just have the paddles wired in directly, and there's no way I'd ever want to go back to an LX that didn't have them. Knowing this kit will ensure my transmission never locks me out of autostick (Did have that happen once while staging) and that I can control the line lock with my hands on the wheel and still have it hidden, is pretty sweet...

So do you need an aftermarket linelock kit with this or is it incorparated in his kit?

Nice to see a picture of the kit that I have on order... waiting for the paddles from the Group Buy round 3....

Even better to get the Jaak Stamp Of Approval... that's better than UL certification.

    Can't wait!
