Woo Hoo!! Blastin Bob's

What Up Ya'll

Just got Blastin Bob's tips installed yesterday by the man himself. What a guy. Very personable and a salt of the earth kind of guy. I discussed my concerns about getting too much droning without the resos. I was going to get the 7db tips. He advised me I should go with the 5db. They were installed in about 45 minutes. Would have been sooner but he was interrupted by homeboy rolling up in this...

He had to talk about some exhaust down tube. Anyways. Bob installed the pipes quickly,cleaned them up and even put the dirty resos in a plastic bag for me. What a guy. He fired it up. Wholly Schmokes!! It sounds awesome. Rapt the throttle and it sounds great. Nice and throaty with a nice growl. I hop on the freeway waiting for the drone. Do a WOT and it sounds great! Now there is a difference in the two types of drone, an exhaust drone and the MDS drone. I do get a small amount of exhaust drone. You're going to get it no matter what when you modify the exhaust. I managed to detect the MDS drone at 70 MPH and 2300 rpm. I really had to listen for it. You really cant hear it. I was mostly concerned with the MDS drone. I always have the ipod going so I'll never hear the MDS. Now my gas mileage is going to suffer because now I goose it alot to hear the exhaust. Overall, I love the exhaust mod and for $180 installed, you cant go wrong. It will hold me over "if" I ever decide to get the Corsas. But for now, Blastin Bob's are awesome. THANKS BOB!!!

A little too ridiculous for my tastes. Homeboy had 30 inch wheels. 30 inches!!! I dont get it. He had Pirelli Scorpion tires that measured 315/30-30. About 3/4 inch of sidewall. He pulled up doing about 2 MPH to get into the driveway. Obviously worried about zinging the wheels. I still dont get it.

reminds me of that last scene in the cartoon movie "Cars" where the Hummer screams like a girls and says... "now I gottz dirt in my rims"

useless 4x4 IMO.. completely worthless vehicle .. can't even tow anything with those crap wheels on it..

4x4's are designed to have monster mudder 40s on them with 16 or maybe 17 inch rims.. it should be all freaking tire and no rim, not all rim..

You got to get the 5db tips. I think any higher and you will start to get alot of drone(exhaust and MDS)

Way cool dude. Now, if I can just get off my butt and install the Magnaflows and high flow cats we can compare noise. It might actually happen, now that it's a wee bit warmer.

IMO..any, and I mean ANY H3 is an excessive, lame, wastefull, my unit is too small...POS!!!!

I shudder to think what the "Blastin Bob's SRT8 Only" set up that totally eliminates the resonators is going to sound like on my Daytona. I have a stock SRT cat-back adapted to the Daytona W/Mopar LT headers cats dumping into it.

The MDS mode is not bad W/the stock SRT resonators, just a deep "boomimg" drone. Even W/the stock Daytona cat-back, you could really hear MDS once I put the Mopar LT headers/cats on it.
