Wonder Why They Didn't Put This On?

Okay minimum cost options that those cheap DC designers didn't put in the Dodge Magnum. Here are a trio of my beefs...

    1) Got the Magnum RT with every option except a toilet in the back seat so why or why didn't they put a bloody light in the glove box. I could land a 747 with the floodlight on the hatchback but I had to buy an LED flashlight to see anything in the glovebox after dark.

    2) You can put about 8 thousand dollars INTO the coin slots of the centre console particularly in Canadian currency with 2 and 1 dollar coins so why or why wouldn't they put a damn lock on the centre console. I'm willing to buy my DC REPAIR guy a coffee but not pay for him to take his date to the movies.

    3) Most of us, who read the forums, know that the EVIC has two modes one of them being diagnostics. The diagnostics have a full size OIL PRESSURE graphic and MPH (or KPH if so set) READOUT but why or why do they put them on the Diagnostic EVIC mode and not the Normal EVIC mode that doesn't require the 6 second buttons hold routine to bring in to the display screen;.

So funny Waymar... I was just thinking the EXACT same thing this evening on the way home FROM work.... The glove box light would have been Very Simple and cheap, and would have added a ton to perception !!!

I got to admit that my complaints like this are far and few between !!

You know what, I didn't look in the glovebox during my test drive, does anybody? With all the excitement that's the last place I'd look and DCX KNOWS IT... Let's see, $5 off production cost x 1 million cars = $5 million saved... That's like using a grade 5 bolt over a grade 8, they can pay an engineer $10 grand to decide it's appropriate and then recoup like $2 mil in costs, it's the life of the production line.

There's a glove box on this car? Saweeeeet! The only thing I've noticed was the gas pedal. I'ma go get me some gloves!

I was thinking the same about the EVIC though. I use the large digital mph readout quite a bit. Seems that it would be common sense to have it in the normal display mode (especially since you can get mph and rpm together in another part of the diagnostic mode anyway.)

Ditto the comments about the under-hood light and the glove-box light. Does the 300C have either?

Also, I wish the turn-signal indicators were farther inboard (closer to the center of the instrument cluster) rather than out in the fuel-gauge and temp pods.

    Picking nits, of course.

It would have been nice to keep the digital speed display up all the time if you wanted but as soon as you change the radio it goes out of that mode.

How about this guys, if you look at the edge of your door you'll see the little clear lights on it. Now take the trim off your door and there's no light source in the trim at all! I'm assuming the 300 has a light in there...

Heck ya we got lights! The 300C has lights everywhere. The "puddle" lights in the bottom of the doors are nice. But to tell the truth we don't have console or glovebox lights. Seems to me that someone on the 300m forums did a light mod on the console. Hmmmmm

    Rain Sensor ?

    Fred;

I am not aware that anyone has solved the "How To' add rain sensor feature to our RT's.

Can you provide a link, or more information?

    Thanks
