A window squeaking with tinted windows,......
does this sound right??? Boy just not sure about this. I had noticed a squeak in the window on the passenger front door of wifeys car. So I ran it up and down a couple of more times and it squeaked every time. So ok that can be looked at next oil change, right??
For the hell of it I checked the "tsb" list. Sure enough there is one for some of the Dodge cars. {23-028-08} Dated Sept 19, 2008. So I would be nice to go ahead and print out the tsb so the service writer can just copy the info. Well he did type in "window tint does not help issue".
She gets back from the dealer earlier, and I look at the car. Guess what.... now there is a new scratch on the outside of the passenger door. Of course right near the big chip that was on the car new. If thats not bad the service writer just told me that "window tint causes squeaks in windows all of the time". Never until now has a tinted window caused me a squeak.
Service writer says that scratch was already there. I wonder if he can tell me where it is on the car door?

Use RainX on the rubber weather stripping, coat contact surfaces. You'll never hear it again.
