When did production start?

I just got my build date on my car - 2/25/2004. When exactly did production begin on the LX's? I read in an ancient thread that they started late february of '04...I have one of the first 300Cs built?

Yes you do.

You have the weird hybrid bus'ed cars, your are missing some of the frame reenforcments, and your PCM has a 3# heatsink on it

You also have a faster car stock than a later build 04 ( After July ) and from what I have seen your ESP is not as intrusive as later build cars as well.

Sweet deal. I knew that my car was faster than most other stockers, but I just found out today that I have one of the first built. Does it say in my VIN what number of that year's production that I have?

my Mag was born on 1/08/2004, at around 7PM. check the sticker on the door frame, there will be a month/year, and a month:day:hour.

I contacted chrysler, they told me that "production numbers are proprietary information"...seriously? What could a competitor do with production numbers? I just want to know if I'm in the first 100 C's to roll off the line...

All it means is that your car is more or less 8 years old. That date is close enough that we will call it a 2003, the 2010's are hitting!! BTW what does your username stand for??

I dont even compare, my chargers build date is in October 2005. I guess its kind of old for a charger.
