    Question What are they smoking?

Last month I went to the Mopar Nationals in Davie Fl. While I was there I saw a plum crazy Charger. I thought wow that looks retro cool.

Then I walked up to check out the window sticker. Wow thats not a retro price.

$44,000 for a charger seems kinda steep. Boy was I wrong. The stealership sticker was astonishing.....

$4,000 for wheels that should be included in the price. If they are special wheels then where is the credit for the 20 inch SRT wheels that came on the car? But most of all $20,000 limited availability charge? How could they call it limited availability when they had another one ,the same color and wheels, on the showroom floor?

That's just "Plum Crazy" to be asking that kind of premium on the car!

For that price, I could order a 6.1L and the SRT brakes and put them in my Plum Crazy Daytona and essentially have the same car at a much lower price!

The only thing that really bothers me a bout a sticker llike that is the "Limited Availability" price of $20,000. At least with the other add-ons, you get something tangible.
One of the local dealers here used to put an "AMV" add-on of $800 on every vehicle they sold. AMV stood for "Adjusted Market Value" ... pretty much means that the dealer thinks his cars are worth $800 more "just because"! The hilarious part was ... this was the Kia dealership!
But in reality, how those type add-ons work is, the salesman can be talked-down $15,000 on that Charger and still make over 100% of the standard profit on that vehicle! This falsely makes the customer feel like they've won by getting such a huge discount!
My take on something like that is ... if I can't hold it in my hand, I ain't paying for it!

They are cashing in on the fact that there are only 299 of these Plum Crazy SRT8's made. (last summer) Most people got thiers for sticker though. That 20K is highway robery.

FYI, the Super Bee wheels are SRT8 wheels..........the difference is the Super Bee SRT8 wheels have polished faces and are polished between the spokes...........the stockers aren't poliished between the spokes.............

I local guy had to have a Super Bee Wheel replaced due to a bent rim (on a pothole)...........

The Stock SRT8 wheel runs around $600.00 Cdn each ................the Super Bee SRT8 wheel runs arouns $1300.00 Cdn each.............because of the extra "polishing'...............

Yea, dealer/Chrysler seem to like bending us over on prices.................

Its not a SuperBee. Its a regular SRT8 but in Plum Crazy. They only made 299 of them. Right after the Plum Crazy Daytonas were made, they used the extra parts for a very limited edition SRT8.
