As you all probably know, I decided to make a special shiney airbox cover for the sealed system to make it look good and expose the 4" silicone hoses. Now, the old airbox shroud is not a popular item and will prolly only be used on the none functional system as a "cover up the factory airbox" item. Now I want to maybe eliminate the side skirting on the passenger side as well. I think it may look better, and let out trapped hot engine air to keep the shaker cooler. What should I do?
A) Eliminate the side skirt permanately on the mould
B) Keep the mould the way it is and leave the side skirt alone
c) Only remove the side skirt if the sealed system is exposed
Here is the new shiney airbox cover
Here is the shaker WITH the side skirts (shiney airbox cover not installed yet)
Here is the shaker WITHOUT the side skirts (shiney airbox cover not installed yet)
This is the airbox shroud that will be eliminated with the sealed system, but could be used to cover it up if preffered. As you see, the side skirts are not that visible on the engine anyhow, and make the cost of the shaker more expensive, so eliminating them would lower the price as well.
