To those WWII fans and families it stands for VICTORY! Victory over the evil empires of Germany and Japan…Amen!

To those that study the Roman Age it is the number 5. Not a significant number, but important in our understanding of the world around us. Try multiplying by 4 or 6…gets a bit difficult after a few digits. Imagine if we had only 4 fingers, or 4 speeds, and well I wouldn’t want more than 4 doors! But I digress.

5 Dollars = 2 cups of coffee = 1 pack of cigarettes = a shirt in the discount rack = 2 gallons of gas or milk (funny that!)

$5 is also what we are offering for a ticket to one of the greatest raffles ever held in the history of the LX community! Raffle for prizes that range from $30 – over $500. Sure not everyone wins but here are the odds. If only $10,000 was raised that equals 2,000 tickets…so ever ticket has a really good chance! I’ve paid more for a bus trip to AC to basically put all my money into a machine and go home empty handed!

What is the raffle for…CHILDREN! SO far less than 1% of the LX world has raised over $4800 for Toys for Tots! BRAVO! Now the move is to help send a child or more to attend a camp for children with various and difficult medical conditions, called Victory Junction Gang Camp. This camp was established by the Petty Family (as in Richard Petty of NASCAR fame!) in memory of their son, Adam.

I know it is difficult to spare much in this time of raising costs and the holiday season bills soon coming. If every member gave $5…it would equal over $50,000! Wouldn’t it be great if we could raise 5% of that or more?

So what is $5? The start of a beautiful year of giving back! Please donate to the LX Owners Charity Drive What a victory that would be!
