It is starting looking like a Chapter 11 Bankruptcy is a real possibility. What happens to the Chrysler warranty's that were not purchased during the restructuring period?

Don't worrythe government is saying they will back the warranty's I'm not letting anyone except Obama work on my car! I here he is great with a wrench. So it looks like the government is in the auto business, banking, stock market and realestate. They are also in our pockets big time. Not to jack the thread but has anyone had there mortgage modified?

They are ONLY covering them if bought within the restructuring period. Which is what the last month? So if you bought last year your not covered.

i bought a warranty last month-any one think it will be covered.
Think about how stupid the average person is..
Then realize half of them are dumber than that
So... What your saying is the warranty for my 09 Jeep (already bought it) should be good cause warranty dont go into effect till delivery... However my 05 300C, well I guess that warranty wouldnt matter anyway after all the mods, I think I have voided almost everything.

Factory warranties will be covered by the Gov. Your extended warranty is really an insurance policy handled by a seperate company and should be good, as long as the warranty company stays in business. Where you would go to get warranty work done on your vehicle is a different story....The White House perhaps?![]()
Currently: "Vanessa" 2006 Charger R/T with all kinds of little details and a unique red bee stripe... just passed 100k milestone!!!
Hey everyone. Do yourselves a big favor and don't worry about this until you need to. Wait to see how everything plays out.
PPP stage 3 heads, Howards cam 219/227 .600/.575 112 +4, ported 6.1 intake, MMPG 85mm throttle body, MSD "Blaster" coils, JBA headers & mids, Corsa exhaust, Paramount "Dominator" torque converter & stage 2 valve body, BC Racing coilovers, Eibach sways, BWoody links, Razorsedge brace, 226mm Getrag 3.91 LSD, Wilwood "plus 2" big brake kit by TCE
I have a 2006 300C and want to buy the extended warranty before the factory one runs out. Is this a bad move right now? It's going to be almost $1300 so I don't want to waste the money!!
Think of it like this... If you rebuild your engine and trans, upgrade the suspension and brakes, and mod everything you can think of, then there is no need for a warranty as you will have voided it... Any way to sell my 7/70 back at under 40,000 miles?

As Fireman said, this discussion may be premature... BUT, warranty or not, if Chrysler is liquidated, there won't be any new parts being made. A warranty or service contract without parts is just about worthless.
I guess it's time to stop worrying about my Lifetime Warranty and start moddin' the heck outta this thing.
Studebaker has been gone since 1965. Need parts?
