Vehicle tracking systems

How many of you forumites have a gps tracking system in any of your cars?

I have lojack in my wifes car and want to use a vehicle tracking system in a new car we just bought for peace of mind. There are so many different ones that offer real time tracking and tracking history. I would prefer to get one that doesn't rely soley on AA batteries. Any feedback would be appreciated.

It will track the car, lock & unlock, start & kill from the internet, landline or cell phone. I would automatically get a text message if the vehicle is tampered with.

It will allow you to do instant tracking, tracking history, overspeed notification, and is hardwired into the vehicle with a battery backup.

I feel that this system is proactive, whereas the Lojack is reactive.

You purchase "hits" or "pings" just like you would text messaging. Plan pricing should be on the link provided in post 2.

It will work with any ESP2 compatible DEI system, or any brand security system for that matter. Some features willnot be available with non DEI equipment

I use delorme with a laptop, I am going to build a dvd soution into the car using a touch screen this spring with the laptop under the glovebox and a remote screen in the center dash as others have done

i think i liiiiiiiiiiiiiiike this system. I am a certified tracker with the lojack but as we all know this is a after you get jacked system, I much rather get the s o b in the act and put some beeef on dat az%^%% lololl.. Are there any other systems that offer the similar typr of options???
