Also has anyone figured out a way to make their own or if a generic one from any auto part store will do?

I tried to get a dipstick from a Ram, but there are many different ones, even withing the same model year & series. (1500, 2500, etc) The plug size is not the same on all Ram dipsticks.

I guess going to a boneyard is one option.

Do you remember what the part # was?

I ordered 1 from the dealer & there was a heavy duty & light duty whatever. I don't remember which I ordered, but it did not fit the tube diameter.

I didn't have the heart to order another after returning the one they ordered for me that I had opened to try for fit.

if it's long enough to hit the bottom of the pan and has 10 mm graduations, it'll work just fine.

Just measure cold (30mm), then drive for 30 min. and measure hot (70mm). The chart is just a luxury for the dealers so that they dont have to waste time driving the car around until tranny temps hit the operational 160-180.
